Niobium LLC builds CloakID. Our job is simple: keep your real number private while making sure the people who matter still get through.
Your personal phone number is sensitive information. It shouldn't end up in a spam database because you signed up for a newsletter, listed something online, or filled out a form at the gym.
CloakID gives you separate US numbers for different parts of your life. Set screening rules for unknown callers and let approved contacts bypass the questions, while keeping your personal caller ID separate.
We're a small, independent team that shipped our first version in 2026 and spent the year rebuilding it around real users. Today CloakID is live on the App Store and Google Play.
Three things make CloakID different from other "second number" apps.
Each persona gets a real US number through Telnyx, with calls, SMS/MMS, and voicemail in one app. These are internet-based numbers; some services may not accept them for verification.
Unknown callers hit a short screen based on the persona they're calling. Spam, surveys, and unwanted outreach get filtered. You can review the outcome and adjust your rules.
People you approve — family, friends, colleagues — skip the screen entirely. You decide which contacts should skip the questions.
CloakID is built for people whose work makes them easy to find: founders sharing a number with investors, executives handling press inquiries, and professionals separating clients from family. Executive includes a setup call with you or your assistant to organize those numbers and their screening rules.
Privacy tools should work. These are the rules we run CloakID by.
